WRITING NATURE, WRITING SCIENCE, WRITING WILD
The award-winning poet Ruth Padel, Fellow of the Royal Literary Society and Zoological Society of London, is acclaimed as a nature writer over several genres, both poetry and prose. Her verse biography, Darwin - A Life in Poems, short listed for the Costa Prize, focussed on a great observer of nature; her novel Where the Serpent Lives, set in Indian forests and Devon woodland, features field zoologists: human observing animal, animal observing human. She is currently finishing a poetry collection on migration from cells to souls. She will read from this new work and from published poems.
