Local author Nicholas Murray’s new book about the British poets of the First World War recreates the lives of a dozen of the principal poets of the conflict and how they struggled to make poetry in the hellish conditions of trench warfare and sets them in the context of the changes taking place in early twentieth-century English poetry.
