COMPOSERS IN FOCUS
Michael Berkeley chairs a wide ranging conversation between Cecilia McDowall, Zita Bruzaitë,David Matthews, Joseph Phibbs and Daiva Parulskienë (Lithuanian cultural attaché to the UK and previously Director of the Lithuanian Music Information and Publishing Centre in Vilnius). The discussion will highlight the different views held on the importance of classical music in Lithuania and in the UK, and the effect of brutal arts cuts to be found right across Europe.
